The traffic is horrendous because people MUST go from somewhere to somewhere else at least twice a day.

A solution is to displace business establishments outside Metro Manila. However, that will create ten times a furor as there always is in evicting informal settlers. Even if the truth is that such establishments have already become the formal-yet-worse than-informal settlers--yet, it is they who complain the loudest.

Metro Manila should now be reserved for residents, schools, and government offices, as in Canberra, Australia.
