I seem to notice that "battles" on The Voice are nothing more than excuses for the coaches to subtly eliminate team members whom they decide they don't want and can't use. Contestants who are fat and lumpy, dress shabbily, look like losers in life, are 30 years old and above, and do not have the physical attraction to qualify as idols and as stars get weeded out like bad photos, no matter how excellent their voices.
In which case, why were blind auditions held at all?
Is there not a difference between a voice coach and a star-maker?
