Saw Crime Investigation Asia on Ci. The evening's episode was "Spellbound: Crimes of The Mind". Set in Malaysia, it is about pukau, a form of budul-budul. Pukau is a combination  of hypnosis and mind control in which the perpetrator makes his victims willingly give him their money and their jewelry, withdraw their savings from the bank, and other things.

Note that in Bahasa Philippines, pukaw means "to stimulate, to arouse."
