Aubrey just came back from her first day in eleventh grade.

We are buying school supplies for her later this evening.

The good news is that we don't have to buy any books, hardbound or softbound.

The bad news is that every student is required to purchase an iPad from the school. I think I'll pay in cash to avoid being beset by monthly payments.
