There is only one plus factor to war, which is that, after it has ended, it gives birth to new and exciting forms in visual art, theater, literature, and music. This is because war inflicts great suffering on the body and the spirit more than does disease, and, since the spirit is immortal, it rises to announce its renewed existence, again and again, to the rest of the world.
