Finished watching Dumb Witness from Agatha Christie: The Poirot Collection. As pleasurable as knitting before bedtime. This one has the Tripp sisters, who conduct seances--though their characters reveal Agatha Christie's ignorance of seances. I loved their joss stick holder, their crystal ball, and the herb switches hanging from their ceiling.
Other things I find precious in this series: English countryside houses, topiary, Poirot's walking sticks (one has a telescope and another has a folding seat), Chinese porcelain vases, crystal inkwells, fringed silk lampshades, silver salt and pepper cellars, a fox terrier, knitted throws, amber medicine bottles, pince-nez, a portable ashtray...
