D.'s boys helped me unload the 30 sacks of garden soil into our concrete planters. I need at least 30 more, but am waiting for it to rain again before deciding how many more sacks to order--the rain compresses the soil and brings the soil level down.

I don't mind buying more soil than we need for the front planters because I still need lots and lots of it for the roof deck garden.
