A room does not have any focal point when there is no one inside the room. It is the person who is the focal point inside any room. If there are more than one person, all of them are double, triple, quadruple, or multiple focal points. That is why a crowd of people is best seen within a bare room.
Note how, when a designer works "a focal point" into any room, the illusion is immediately destroyed whenever someone walks in.
