Good night, Cubao!
Watched Murder in Mesopotamia, which has the same character types as those in Appointment With Death, perhaps because the settings, excavation digs, were most familiar to the author, whose husband was an archaeologist. The former is set in Iraq and Baghdad, the latter in Syria, where, alas, no one can do location shooting for now.
Love that cylinder seal. Appointment With Death, however, has many piquant urban settings.
Another thing I love about the Poirot series is that nothing in them is truly morbid, unlike what we see in other series that involve death.
