Watched The Hollow, which I remembered from the original novel because it has many good, quotable lines. This production features Sarah Miles (of Ryan's Daughter) and an intentional or unintentional Leslie Caron look-alike.

Unfortunately neither the director nor the actress portraying the sculptress knew anything about clay sculpture. No spatulas, no sponges--she used her bare hands!

It also behooves us to assume that the horse's head was not meant to be fired in a kiln!
