Finished watching The Adventure of the Clapham Cook, which I'd neither read nor heard of since I was in grade school. I don't think a copy of this ever came to the Philippines. At any rate this was another short story rather than a novel. Interesting because it shows the interior of an English house in the country, so different from "American country" which Papemelroti tries too hard to simulate to the point of caricature.
